Privacy Policy

Weekly Store Report ("the app") sends Shopify merchants a short weekly summary of their store's performance. This policy explains what data the app accesses, what it stores, who it shares data with, and your choices.

Data we access from your store

With your permission granted at install, the app reads from the Shopify API:

• Orders from the last 14 days — order dates, totals, and the products and quantities on each order;
• Products — titles and status;
• Your store name and store contact email, used to address and deliver the report.

The app does not request or use your customers' names, email addresses, physical addresses, or payment details.

Data we store

We store the generated reports only: aggregate weekly numbers (revenue, order count, average order value), product titles with weekly sales figures, the AI-written summary text, and your store domain. Raw order data is processed in memory to calculate these numbers and is not retained.

Who processes data on our behalf

• Railway — hosts the app and its database.
• Anthropic — the calculated weekly aggregates (never customer-level data) are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to write the plain-English summary.
• Resend — delivers the weekly report email to your store's contact address.

We do not sell data or share it with anyone else.

Data retention and deletion

Reports are kept while the app is installed so you can view your latest report in the admin. When you uninstall the app, your access tokens are deleted immediately and all stored reports and shop data are erased in line with Shopify's mandatory data-deletion webhooks (at the latest 48 hours after uninstall). Because we store no customer personal data, customer data requests and redaction requests are acknowledged automatically with nothing to disclose or delete.

Your rights

Depending on where you are based (including under UK/EU GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, or erase personal data we hold. The personal data we hold is limited to your store's contact details as described above. To exercise any right, contact us and we will respond within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change this policy, we will update this page and note the new date at the top.
